An e-way bill is a document required for the movement of goods above a state-specified value threshold (commonly ₹50,000). It's tied to the vehicle, transporter, and distance, and is separate from the invoice itself.
In ClayBill, e-way bill fields are available on every document where goods physically move: Sales, Purchase, Sales Return, and Purchase Return. Fill in vehicle number, transporter, distance, and vehicle type on the transaction, then generate the e-way bill — the status (Not Generated, Generated, Cancelled, Failed) is tracked on the document so you always know where it stands.
